Terms of Purchase

By purchasing any product from DirectoryCustomize, you agree to the following terms. These terms apply to all widgets, themes, schemas, and other code products sold through our store.

1. What You Are Purchasing

Each purchase gives you a code customization — a widget, theme, or schema — that is installed directly on your Brilliant Directories website. This is not a standalone software product. It is designed to work exclusively within the Brilliant Directories platform on the site where it is installed.

  • Your purchase covers one website. To use the same product on additional sites, a separate purchase is required for each site.
  • You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or share the code with anyone else.
  • The code remains the intellectual property of DirectoryCustomize.

2. How Updates Work

We release updates to fix bugs, add improvements, and keep your product compatible with changes to the Brilliant Directories platform. Updates are delivered automatically through your DirectoryCustomize connection.

  • Updates are included with your purchase at no extra charge for minor versions (bug fixes and small improvements).
  • Major version upgrades (new features or significant changes) may require an additional purchase, depending on the product. You will always be notified in advance.
  • You do not need to do anything to receive updates — they are applied automatically unless you choose to turn them off.

3. Turning Off Updates

You can turn off automatic updates for any product at any time from your site dashboard. When you turn off updates:

  • Your product stays at the version it was on when you turned off updates.
  • You will not receive bug fixes, improvements, or compatibility patches.
  • You can turn updates back on at any time to receive the latest version.

Important: If you turn off updates and a future change to the Brilliant Directories platform causes your product to stop working correctly, we are not responsible for fixing the issue until you re-enable updates and install the latest version.

4. Disabling or Removing a Product

You are in full control of what runs on your site.

  • You can disable any product at any time. A disabled product stays on your site but does not run. You can re-enable it whenever you want.
  • You can remove any product completely. Once removed, it no longer exists on your site.
  • There is no penalty, fee, or approval needed to disable or remove a product.

5. Limitation of Liability

DirectoryCustomize provides code customizations for your website. We do our best to ensure everything works correctly, but we cannot guarantee perfect results in every situation. By purchasing, you agree that DirectoryCustomize is not responsible for:

  • Lost revenue, traffic, leads, or data — for any reason
  • Issues caused by updates or changes to the Brilliant Directories platform that are outside our control
  • Conflicts with other customizations, plugins, or third-party code on your site
  • Downtime or temporary issues during installation or updates
  • Any changes you or someone else makes to the code after installation
  • Problems caused by running outdated code after turning off automatic updates

Our total liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that specific product.

6. Refund Policy

Before Installation

Full refund, no questions asked. If we have not yet installed the product on your site, you can request a complete refund at any time.

After Installation

No refund. Once the code is installed and live on your site, the product has been delivered. You can disable or remove the product at any time, but payment is not refundable.

For Standard tier purchases (self-install), the product is considered delivered once you receive the code and install guide. For Full Service and Premium tiers, the product is considered delivered once it is installed on your site.

7. Support

What support is included depends on the tier you purchased:

Standard Install guide + code delivery. Self-install.
Full Service We install it on your site + setup walkthrough call.
Premium Installation + walkthrough + priority support + advanced customization guides.

Support covers the product as it was delivered. Custom modifications you make to the code after installation, or requests to change how the product works beyond its original design, are not covered under standard support.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of any DirectoryCustomize product after a change means you accept the updated terms.

If we make a significant change that affects your rights, we will notify you by email before the change takes effect.
